Laser Therapy To Quit Alcohol: A Safe and Effective Method To Help

Quitting or cutting back on alcohol consumption can be a difficult journey. The availability of alcohol plus cravings and the withdrawal can seem insurmountable. That’s where Lazer Dave and Ottawa Laser Therapy Solutions comes in.

What Is Laser Therapy To Quit Alcohol Cravings?

Laser therapy to quit alcohol cravings is a painless and safe treatment for reducing alcohol cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Gentle laser light (no needles) is applied by Lazer Dave using sophisticated European Laser Technolgoy to energy points on the face, ears, hands, and feet in order to naturally boost endorphins and break the cycle of alcohol withdrawal.

Laser therapy is also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT), cold laser therapy, laser acupuncture and photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy.

How Does Laser Therapy Help Me Quit Alcohol?

Low intensity laser is applied to specific points (acupuncture points) on the ears, head, hands and feet in order to stimulate the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins – the body’s  natural feel-good chemicals.

This helps to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms in order to break the withdrawal cycle to alcohol.

The end goal is to drastically make it easier to cut back or quit alcohol for good.

Laser Therapy Is An Adjunct Treatment

Dave ALWAYS suggests continued consultation with your doctor and/or mental health professional regarding your desire to quit alcohol. Laser therapy is an adjunct treatment protocol. Lazer Dave is not a doctor. Dave’s goal in using laser is to promote a strong physiological response in the body for reducing the intensity of alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Reduce Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms With Laser

Dave’s Approach To Helping Alcohol Withdrawal Using Laser Therapy

Most important is your desire to quit. Subsequently, Dave subscribes to a 2 step approach in helping people reduce alcohol withdrawal using laser therapy:

STEP ONE – Lazer Dave’s Prep Guide

After making your first appointment — you will be emailed Lazer Dave’s Prep Guide.

This guide outlines key habit change suggestions and supplements that when combined with laser therapy can reduce alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

STEP TWO  – Laser Therapy Treatment

Use laser therapy to treat various energy points on the face, ears, hands and feet to break the physiological withdrawal process from alcohol.

Dave uses sophisticated laser therapy equipment from Germany in his treatments.

What Happens Before My First Laser Treatment To Quit Alcohol?

You will be asked to complete an online health history form and be emailed ahead of time “Lazer Dave’s Prep Guide”.  This guide contains important information and habit change suggestions that will maximize the chances of you successfully quitting for good. It is important that you follow as many of the recommendations as possible.

Please note: Lazer Dave’s Prep Guide is NOT meant to be a replacement for a doctor, professional counseling, group support or mental health support services.

What To Expect On Your First Laser Treatment To Quit Alcohol

When you come for your first laser to quit alcohol with Lazer Dave, you will get comfortable by lying down on a comfortable treatment table while listening to relaxing music

Dave will explain the procedure to you and ask you to wear protective eyewear. Dave will use various laser devices to treat “acutherapy” points on the face, ears, arms, hands, lower legs and feet.

You may feel a slightly warm or tingling sensation through your body. As the points are stimulated with the laser light, your body should begin to release endorphins and other powerful neurochemicals which promote a pleasant sense of relaxation.

What to Expect After Your First Laser Therapy Treatment To Quit Alcohol

After your first laser therapy treatment for quitting alcohol you will likely feel more relaxed, calm, and best of all your cravings will likely have diminished. In addition to treating you with laser, Dave will also review behavioural modification practices and then schedule your second appointment (included with the program fee).

While many find positive results with 1-2 treatments, a small percentage may require additional “booster” treatments for longer-term success depending on their individual circumstances.
