How The Ottawa Laser Solutions Program For Alcohol Works

Quitting your addiction to alcohol begins with a strong desire for change.

Add laser therapy plus a few simple ground rules and then dramatically increase the chance of becoming addiction free:

  • Lowered cravings & withdrawal symptoms
  • No pharmaceuticals
  • Results just after one treatment

Laser Therapy Is An Adjunct For Alcohol/Drug Addiction Treatment

Dave ALWAYS suggests continued consultation with your doctor and/or mental health professional regarding alcohol/drug addiction treatment, including any changes with medications. Laser therapy is an adjunct treatment protocol. Dave’s goal using laser is to promote a strong physiological response in the body for reducing the intensity of alcohol/drug addiction withdrawal symptoms and detoxification. He does not offer mental health/drug addiction counselling services and he is NOT a doctor.

About Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction, also known as alcoholism, is a disease that affects people of all walks of life. Experts have tried to pinpoint factors like genetics, sex, race, or socioeconomics that may predispose someone to alcohol addiction. But it has no single cause. Psychological, genetic, and behavioral factors can all contribute to having the disease.

It’s important to note that alcoholism is a real disease. It can cause changes to the brain and neurochemistry, so a person with an alcohol addiction may not be able to control their actions.

Alcohol addiction can show itself in a variety of ways. The severity of the disease, how often someone drinks, and the alcohol they consume varies from person to person. Some people drink heavily all day, while others binge drink and then stay sober for a while.

Some symptoms of alcohol addiction are:

  • increased quantity or frequency of use
  • high tolerance for alcohol, or lack of “hangover” symptoms
  • drinking at inappropriate times, such as first thing in the morning, or in places like church or work
  • wanting to be where alcohol is present and avoiding situations where there is none
  • changes in friendships; someone with an alcohol addiction may choose friends who also drink heavily
  • avoiding contact with loved ones
  • hiding alcohol, or hiding while drinking
  • dependence on alcohol to function in everyday life
  • increased lethargy, depression, or other emotional issues
  • legal or professional problems such as an arrest or loss of a job

As an addiction tends to get worse over time, it’s important to look for early warning signs. If identified and treated early, someone with an alcohol addiction may be able to avoid major consequences of the disease.

Use laser therapy to treat various energy points on the face, ears, hands and feet to break the physiological addiction to alcohol.

Dave uses sophisticated laser therapy equipment from Germany in his treatments.

Benefits Of Laser Therapy To Quit Alcohol

  • PAINLESS. No needles are used to pierce the skin or tissues. Only gentle, low-intensity laser is applied over energy points.

  • SAFE. Contraindications, minor risks or potential side effects associated with laser therapy are minimal. Unlike most pharmaceutical solutions and other therapeutic options, laser therapy is non-toxic, non-invasive and very safe.

What Happens Before My First Laser Treatment To Quit Alcohol?

You will be asked to complete an online health history form and be emailed ahead of time “Lazer Dave’s Prep Guide to Quitting Stress & Addiction”.  This guide contains important preparation information and habit change suggestions that will maximize the chances of you successfully quitting for good. What To Expect On Your First Laser Treatment To Quit Drug Alcohol

When you come for your first laser to quit alcohol with Lazer Dave, you will get comfortable by lying down on a comfortable treatment table while listening to relaxing music

Dave will explain the procedure to you and ask you to wear protective eyewear. Dave will use various laser devices to treat “acutherapy” points on the face, ears, arms, hands, lower legs and feet.

You may feel a slight warm or tingling sensation through your body. As the points are stimulated with the laser light, your body should begin to release endorphins and other powerful neuro-chemicals which promote a pleasant sense of relaxation.

What to Expect After Your First Laser Therapy Treatment To Quit Alcohol

After your first laser therapy treatment for quitting alcohol you will likely feel more relaxed, calm, and best of all your cravings will likely have diminished. In addition to treating you with laser, Dave will also review behavioural modification practices and then schedule your second appointment (included with the program fee).

While many find positive results with 1-2 treatments, a small percentage may require additional “booster” treatments for longer term success depending on their individual circumstances.

Is There Scientific Research For Using Laser To Quit Alcohol?

Despite what the skeptics say about laser therapy, there is scientific evidence that supports the efficacy of stimulating energy points (acupuncture points) to help treat addiction for nicotine, alcohol and drug addiction.

Here is one example of a study on PubMed: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28621706
